Technology at our hands

One of my favorite things about having more ipads in our school, is having the devices at our hands for spur of the moment research. One day we were in social studies learning about old communitiies. A couple of questions came up, and I knew the basic information...but the kiddo's wanted more. So I quickly found a website with a plethora of information. I made a QR code for the kiddo's to scan. The scan took them to a website and they went off to research!

Orange Day

We were all encouraged to wear orange to school in honor of NO BULLIES! We attended a program on anti-bully. The high school target team showed us great examples (through skits) of what bulling looks and feels like. We watched a short video called, "Don't Laugh at me." Makes Mrs. Hayden cry every time..it's so touching and a good reminder. You can youtube the song name to find it. It's also a book too!

Ram Pride Kick Off

What an awesome school we have! In September, we had a Ram Pride Assembly. It started off with great music, learned about Ram Pride. We discussed what it looks like and how you can earn it. We also learned about the Golden Vacuum!! My our kiddo's kept our room very clean!!! We ended up earning the GOLDEN vacuum the third week! We watched a neat video that another school created. They use a PBIS program too! At the end of the program we got to hear an AMAZING group called Six Appeal. Man, every kid was ready to get up and jump. The band is a vocal percussion, so they were teaching us how to make music with our body and voice! Thank you Roseau School!

Anthony Learns to Rope

During the second week of school, our selection story was about a young Mexican boy who learns to rope. We had the privilege of having a guest visitor join us at school and teach us how to rope! Thank you Mr. Comstock for taking time out of your day to teach us something! We truly enjoyed it.
